I agree. We have no desire for the monster sized M4, and ~2% weight difference is meaningless for a street use car. On the M2 forum, you see some posters whining about weight and then they tack on a sunroof, 30-40lbs more located at the worst possible distance from the CG, along with a 55lb extra DCT.

US weights must include all options expected to be on 33% or more of cars sold. Hence the M2C weight quoted definitely includes the DCT and likely includes a sunroof too.

We're getting a 6MT slicktop, and I'm going to weigh it just out of curiosity to see what the deal is with it.
