^SamS. yup you get 2 for $40 (at least that's when I got mine about 2 yrs ago).
I haven't have the need to get all 4 wheels off the ground yet so far. Most of the time, I just work on one end of the car. I have a set of ramps also so 2 wheels are always supported if I need the entire car to be higher up (Drive up on the ramp and then put the other end on jack stand). Hope that helps.
