OP - The Lotus will be a better handing car than anything BMW makes right now. Smoking Tire had a loaner and did a series of track videos which are worth a watch. There are other compromises from driving a low volume niche car like a Lotus but if you want a pure sportscar your looking in the right direction.
As for it being a V6 not an I6, who cares? Its a very good engine by all accounts. The fact it's in the car in the first place should be celebrated.
