All JP spec E92 M3s are fundamentally Euro spec, but with a sportier suspension. Other Euro spec M3s may have identical spec suspension to US spec M3s.
So I suppose there is an issue with importing newer vehicles in USA? From my experience, I would always go with used JP imports because they are generally well maintained due to mandatory inspections every two years (sha-ken).
