Yes, but it also keeps road noise out (I still daily my car), avoids having to have some place to store the seats and most importantly, if I remove my rear seats, it would bump me up a class in the BimmerChallenge Time Trial series; so I'd be at the bottom of B3 instead of the top of B4.

Isn't there an exemption to make way for safety stuff? I might be thinking of speedsf challenge rules...
We all know you've been fudging the points anyways to be in B4, maybe you should just run the proper class?
