i have Active Autowerke race x-pipe (no primary or secondary cats) paired with stock muffler (couldnt justify the extra $$ of an aftermarket muffler for only a few extra ponies) its not really loud until you go above 50% throttle, i kind of like the sound it makes. At idle its slightly deeper tone. I hope this helps....
