How about this: When entering the US as a tourist they took your fingerprints, a photo and want to know if you're having a social media account. They keeping those data for the last day I think, using recognizing software to identify persons of interest and scanning randomly somekind of data - and you are worried about that google could read your mail, ey?
At my first visit after 9/11 I was thinking like "Wow, here I thought the GDR is history"...
