Track days in California organized by event organizers that sign up 60-150 cars per day generally charge $180-$300 for each event. You can find a little cheaper, but the quality of the event is not guaranteed.
I used to drive on track in a stock seat in my E90 M3 until it got turned into a dedicated track car. Two things helped me:
- CG-Lock worked well for me. Helps hold you down a bit.
- I put a volleyball knee pad on my left knee. I turned it sideways so the pad would face the door and I would brace my left leg against the door to help hold me in place and prevent any bruising on the outside of my knee. With your right-hand drive, is there a way to brace you left knee against the center console? I've never been in a right-hand drive M3.
So, did you catch the motorsport bug with this first outing?
