The car was also in the break in period which cuts power and does not allow the car to rev beyond 4500 RPM. There was something weird with a few of those, it had me all nervous and I was checking the stitching on my 2SS 1LE, but there was nothing similar, mine was all straight. That had to be some kind of crazy fluke at the factory or supplier.
