Did you manage to not break any of the plastic latches? Many on e90post said it was fairly easy to remove the trim, but I'm about to take the ashtray piece apart so I can reveal the backside of the door piece.  |
Yes, you close the tray, insert the y shaped trim tool from the rear near the latch and twist away from the latch. Causing you to lift the trim at the latch point. That's how I did it and none of my latches broke.
