Is it human nature to screw with another man's property? Yes. If you really want to keep your car show room condition you got to protect it. Move out of the cities, cover it, garage it and choose very careful where you park it on public streets.

I grew up in NY and I saw the same things you're describing. When I saw that AutoCouture thread all I could think was "noooo, get those beautiful cars FAR away from there, quick!"
IMO it is madness to own/drive a $80k+ car in NYC.
