I take it you have tried the GTR already, if not then you are jumping the gun a little because the GTR is extreme to say the least, it's ride is rock hard compared to the smooth riding M3 convertible.
If you go for it, then good luck with the service bills, I hear they are a little on the large side.

I have 14000 miles on my GTR and have had 3 mandatory services that cost me nothing.
As far as ride is concerned I think anyone buying a sports car can handle it.
And yes buy the GTR.
