I can see the appeal in an E93 M3. I currently have a E93 335i and an E90 M3 sedan. The chassis rigidity is noticeable, very noticeable. However this is not an apples to apples comparison as the 335i is a lot more effortless in its powerband so you don't notice the extra weight as much whereas in the M3 you gotta rev it up.
As far as E93, its well built. Wind-noise is non-existent, no B pillar is a really sleek touch with all the windows down. Make sure it's water tight though, my E93 always lets drops in from pressure washing.
