No, the long scratches are from foreign material during use, not removal. Lots of contamination in that engine. For only having 42k miles I'd consider more stringent maintenance tactics and to closely inspect your SC setup and air filter/elbow to make sure debris isn't entering from there. Or it's possible the engine had been opened up at some point for service without much regard for cleanliness... Lots more debris embedded in them than what I would consider normal.
