I have been looking at BBS LM's for my M3 but when I saw how much heavier they were than some of the Advans and Volks I started looking at the RZ-DF and the Volk VR G10. As I picked the specs for the wheels I started looking at tires and was suprised at the weight differences of tires.
I was set on the Advan Ad08's but looking at the specs, they seem heavy. The Ad08 295 30 19 was 30.5 lbs while Continential 305 30 19 was 26.9 lbs, stock 265 35 19 was 23.7 lbs., and ps2 305 30 19 28 lbs.
With ad08's 275/295 and BBS Lm's you would pick up about 6lbs per wheel over stock 19's but with Volk rz-df and ad08's you would save 1lb front and 2lb rear over stock 19's and with Volk rz-df and continential 275/305 you would save 3.4lbs front and 5.5lbs rear.
Are these weights noticable?
