Because a typical hybrid car is designed to have the lowest coefficient of drag and maintain usable storage space, while a Ferrari has to deal w/ lift and drag while maintaining a exotic shape (and not necessarily useful *******. That's why lift/drag ratio is a big factor in racing design. Lift is a non-factor for pretty much any econocar, and looks certainly aren't the biggest factor either
