But what do you do with lemons? Make lemonade of course. And that's exactly what I set out to do (on a budget). My goals were quite simple:

1) Floors had to be clean enough that I wouldn't feel bad walking on them with no shoes.
2) No storage. My garage has to be completely functional. Boxes and other items not used often needs to go to a storage space.
3) Need to have space to do basic work on my car. I'm always changing brake pads, fluids, and wheels for the track. A place to store my track wheels was important too. I am sick of stacking them all the time.
4) Need basic entertainment while working on the car or when fellow enthusiast friends are over. My garage was wired for ethernet and cable. Music playing via Sonos.
5) Plenty of tool/material storage and work space.

I really wanted a small lift of some sort, but because there's such little space, I decided its best to do without it and stick with jacking up one side at a time. I don't do it too often anyways. I'm still looking for the right size air compressor so I can fill my air tank, tires, and use air tools. I'm sure my neighbors will hate me when that arrives.

I'm pretty happy with how it all came out overall. I didn't spend that much money (most of the stuff is from Craftsman which I know is not great, but good enough for a home garage), and did most of the work myself. The floors were done by Premier Garage (http://www.premiergarage.com/), and the black plastic tiles that go around the perimeter are from Racedeck (http://racedeck.com). It doesn't take that much to have a nice garage space. Just need to plan it out and be adamant about not storing your junk in there.

I've been enjoying the space so much that I end up just working in there during the day (I work from home). The neighbors probably think I'm really weird. My wife decided to park her car outside and let me have the garage to myself which is a win for me (obviously) and for her since she doesn't have to squeeze 2 children into her SUV while carefully not hitting my car.

Anyways, here are some photos.

Where can I order that racing seat set up would love that for ps4 and x box 1 Lol
