Not true at all for this car. Had prior 20+ years of manual gearbox driving experience and never a single problem with clutch/flywheel before. My M3 flywheel failed at 24k miles and I never did anything crazy with it, never launched. I have no doubt it's factory defect or factory misassembly. There were no previous owners, i bought it new.
