Car was hooked up to a battery charger but a power supply is recommended. It should take about 20minutes to update properly. I did run into some issues on my first attempt where the Flash broke at 95%. It corrupted the DME data but I was able to recover it with another attempt. Mike from BPM warned he has seen a few DME bricked even when using the BimmerGeeks Cable which falls in line with what I saw on my first attempt.
You may risk bricking your DME, so you have been forewarned! ICOM adapters and ISTA/P is the dealership way to update i-Levels of a car. |
Wow, that's scary. I would be interested in updating my software, but bricking a DME is a fairly risky proposition.
