Exactly... that's the reason that perhaps 1 out of 10 M3 at dealer lots are strippers because that's the real-life supply/demand ratio.

Of course, it is not that all M3 -regardless of optional equipment- are keeping their value like the E46 M3, at the end of the day you buy what you want and like. Resale value is just as additional consideration for the OP.
