I took my car apart to replace the woofers, took one out to inspect, then promptly re installed the woofer once I realized how well it was built compared to anything aftermarket that would fit.

The size of the voicecoil is not the only thing that matters it's how you use it
Seriously though, the size of the voicecoil doesn't really say much about the sound quality of a woofer. It does usually mean it can handle a good amount of power but that's really the only information you can gather from voicecoil size.
