Now that I think about it, I had quite a few more problems actually. Faulty maf, window switch, pcv valve, and starter. I also had to replace the alternator cause Toyota engineers thought it was a good idea to put it right under the weakly built power steering pump. Don't get me wrong, the core of the 1uz is beyond amazing, just everything else not being state of the art.  |
Hahaha the power steering fluid on the alternator! I actually built a little shield to put over the alternator for the inevitable leakage! Yea there weren't too many manual 1uz swaps, since it required a custom adapter plate and hydraulics for whichever manual trans was used. We loved V8s though. Still do.
