I have to agree that some dealers don't have a clue what is going on in their own business. If they've had this car on their lot for a while, they should be itching to sell it. Each day costs them money (both interest payments and floor space rental). Check out what incentives are going on, figure out what your bottom line is and make the salesman an offer. Until you make a serious offer, you'll never know what they'll sell the car for.
