Have you owned a car till to 250K, I have..and they need everything from suspension and drivetrain overhaul, to clutch/tranny to alternators, power steering pumps, water pumps etc etc etc
On a late model M3 that will be quite a parts and labor bill..
So I can see why people would not want to keep one with very high mileage.
