Engine cumbustion is more efficient when air is being blown in even during normal driving. Tuning plays a part with FI and NA fuel economy. We get reports from customers that run our NA software that their MPG is better. The fact that you no longer need to run your RPM's high to make power also helps. With the added power of a SCer you can keep RPM's lower and make good power.
Here is my MPG after 3 days of city driving. The car goes out tonight for some high speed testing. I will report back MPG later for a comparison.
