You have to take a rubber mallet and really smack the heat shield area where the HFC sits to flatten it.

If you don't knock it enough the HFC sits like in your pics.

I had the Fabspeed X and once I did this it was 95% fine but most importantly, the clearance was good.

Go back to your fitment centre and do this

there is a fitment movie on Fabspeeds website which shows this
