Hey everyone and welcome back to another update.
This update takes place in
October 2019.
Prior to installing my Varis/VRS Rear Diffuser System 1 (Full Carbon) and Seibon E90 M3 OEM-Style Pre-LCI Carbon Fiber Trunk, I wanted them to be in as
perfect condition as possible.
As mentioned previously in my journal, I purchased the Varis Carbon Fiber Lower Rear Diffuser from Sam (M3Post Member: "
Semp"). Sam had installed some
protection foam and clear bra film on it since day one.
The part where the foam was installed is usually where all the Varis diffusers get damaged, so I'm thankful that Sam took pride in owning this diffuser.
Prior to selling it to me, Sam had removed the clear bra to prep it for what I was planning to do.
With my side-hustle being a detailer in Toronto, I knew this involved a paint correction, paint protection film (PPF), and a ceramic coating.
Now being a lot more busier than usual with my insurance broker gig, I didn't have time to do the paint correction myself. I decided to take it to my good friend
Steven@Elevated Auto and have him sort out the paint correction, PPF, and ceramic coating.
All I'm going to say is pay
very special attention to the prep work involved (taping/masking off certain areas).
Steven@ElevatedAuto is hands down amongst the top PPF and Tinting installers in the Greater Toronto Area.
Steven had his team member John start with the polishing work.
Once that was completed, Steven applied the XPEL PPF, and then John finished it off with a CeramicPro coating. This is what I consider the
OCD Treatment.
