Below is a pic of my finished project. Lighting is identical to stock. Leather on the ZHP knob DOES NOT match stock one; not a big deal even for a perfectionist like myself, but just FYI. The ring makes the leather mismatch less obvious, and it matches all other aluminum accents on the car perfectly
. Even with the 'blacker' leather, I like the ZHP much better, even before the benefits of how much better it feels and looks
. And the boot job I did (same diameter as ring) looks perfect
. Oh, and the shift pattern on the stock knob looks a million times better than the ZHP one, even in daylight; another reason to do the transplant.
Anyway, the lower pics are after removing the 'posts' at 12 and 6 o'clock positions, and where the hole ends up if drilled at my chosen location, which is the best one IMO. Hope this helps gang.
