Yea, my dealership has done the same thing; they've already access this part in my case. Mine is 1 month old and I am not entirely happy about this either, but ever since the noise started, it has annoyed the hell out of me. Same here, I've been no assurance that this will fix the problem. Let me know if you get your car back first and if it fixed your issue.
