BMW has ranked 11th in the
2018 J.D. Power New Vehicle Initial Quality Survey (IQS) which measures the initial quality of vehicles during the first 90 days of ownership.
This is a separate survey than the J.D. Power's Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) which measures the quality of vehicles after 3 years of ownership.
BMW ranked 8th in that study for 2018.
