Kev, i'd be careful what you wish for...trading the DCT for an S tronic gearbox might land you in the exact same position. I haven't test driven the TT-S before, but I'm certain that owners have reported lag problems just like DCT.
I'll be interested to here your report. I think that the TT-S is a great looking car.
