I disagree. I bought a Logitech G29 for $200 new on a sale and I sold it a couple years later for $180.
I bought my rig used for $300 and it was supposed to be $500 new and I'm sure I'll get about $300 for it when time to move up from that.
Just have to know what you are getting and the resale market for it. Logitech was probably easier to sell since its a recognizable brand to more people, a good starter system and cheaper impulse buy.
