1-good that you told him; now you can sleep at night. Shows honesty on your behalf.
2-I don't think it is a good idea for a guy that doesn't know how to drive to track the car; but to each his own. Almost every month accident calls for a license suspension by the DMV, but I guess his daddy has a lot of money to bail his butt out.
3- I think he should learn how to drive "Fred Flintsone"'s car first before getting behind a sport car, and before learning how to drive a manual.
