+1 The EUR/USD tanking is a disaster for BMW AG. Yes, they have some production in SC - but not the M's. So each M is being made in a labor market with some of the highest hourly rates on the planet, by master techs who get paid a premium above the already-elevated hourly German auto-werker rate in a currency that is at least 20% overvalued.
Also, there's likely to be a still-weaker consumer
on both sides of the Atlantic in 2008 - so BMW either has to eat some more USD pain :sad0147: to move the M3 in a MAJOR market or watch sales slow after the initial launch fever has died.
At that level give me a low mileage Carrera S, thanks - or GT-R (I suspect these will command a premium though ... $80s).
