Great points. That being said, after options and CA taxes, mid $55-56k base price should bring the total price out the door to $65-69k.

If the dealer decides to mark-up, which will be unlikely if they plan on moving many units, the price will be in the low $70s.

Thus, editors and people alike throw numbers like 'almost $80k' around.
