I had mine stripped, sanded, and polished. Then ceramic coated to reduce the upkeep required on the bare, polished aluminum finish.

Yeah, this is exactly what I was looking for - I realized I hadn't mentioned in my original post that I wanted them to have a mirror finish.
How much time did that take or how much did it cost?
