When I first had the dry engine noise, I could feel something trying to stop the engine by force, a big clank. That's why i don't think it could be a failed lifter, but will keep an eye on it.

I am going to change the oil in a few weeks and will post here whatever happens.
Oil won't change it. I've changed my own oil at 5,000 mile intervals since I've had it with BMW Castrol and their new Mpower garbage now. Both produce the ticking at low RPM and no strain on the motor. Drive thru's really make the noise prevalent. If you give it normal gas it goes away because of normal engine noise at that point.
