I literally was making this exact thread on Monday when i received my BE bearings. Right before i posted i called my vendor because every single shell was marked like that. I figured it was a quality control technique but i needed to make sure. 1st guy i spoke with didnt know anything about that so my heart sank. After he called a coworker over it was explained that its from being measured at the manufacture and not to worry. You are good to go!
