Hi,

I have a set of Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds from my 2002 911 Turbo in sizes 225/40x18 Front and 265/35x18 Rears. Can I use the 3Ds on my 2009 M3 sedan? I have 18" aftermarket rims 8.5" Front and 9.5" wide rear.

I know stock size for the M3 is 245/40x18 and 265/40x18 so the rear aspect ratio is 35 instead of 40. Will that make a difference in performance in the wet and dry? How about if I use the 265/35x18 tires that I have in the rear and get 2 - 245/40x18 or 235/40x18 3Ds for the front? The 225s seem kind of narrow.

Or do I go with 235/40x18 all around as BMW recommends?
