I get the ticking after every oil change when the oil is fresh. As I put some miles on the oil the ticking slowly starts to go away. The more miles you put on the oil the less ticking you'll get. If you change your oil every 3-5000 miles you'll always have some ticking.
I had an awesome BMW tech who's built a few of these engines listen to the noise when I first went to the LM oil. He immediately diagnosed it as valvetrain noise specifically the lifters.
