It seems to be a niche market, but some cargo carriers do have a few cabins on container ships and such for paying passengers who aren't expecting a pool deck and cruise director to keep them entertained. I was just curious to get an opinion on how the crew feels about having non-seamen traveling on their cargo ships and getting under their feet.

I don't know how much truth there is to it, but I remember reading somewhere that the perk for cargo ships carrying passengers was that they received priority pilot and tug services at some busy ports.....
