If you want to get a paint job that comes close to looking like it came from the factory, it will cost a lot more (perhaps up to $10K or more). There will be a lot of prep work involved. There are a lot of areas that require extra work in order to cover up the old color (e.g., door jambs, trunk, hood underside, engine bay, etc). You would need to remove exterior trim, doors, and the engine! And when you're all done, you have also just lowered the car's resale value.

These colors are available through the Individual program. Many U.S. dealers don't seem to know about it or do not want to put in the extra work to get these colors. Each M3 Individual order in the U.S. requires several levels of approval, including the BMW Regional Area Manager, BMW NA and BMW Individual in Garching, Germany.
