I was able to put a friend's M2 w/ DCT through it's paces on a curvy backroad last year. Did 2 runs. By the end of the second run, I was pretty much over it.
I like the M2's looks + steering and found the exhaust to be acceptable. Decent power too. But...
...after driving a tuned M3 for three years, I am spoiled by it's telepathic and perfectly linear throttle response and delicious intake sounds.
No turbo-engined car (that I can afford) will ever be able to replicate that.
Plus I'm not willing to drop $55K (or more) for Dakota Leather and an interior with Fisher-Price finishes.
