I want to see how tall the rollbar looks from the side. I'm thinking about doing this but a full rollbar looks too tall when the top is down. If one shortened it to, say, the top of the seats, then it would have a more tapered look from the side view. And since the e93 already has BMW's rollover protection device built-in the rollbar only is really necessary to attach the seat belt to. Other than that is purely cosmetic.

if the bar is only to the height of the top of the seats, then it does not leave any additional margin for there to be space for the top of the head/helmet in the event of a rollover
