There's a much bigger "YOLO" factor impacting older fun cars that don't have a modern equivalent. The E9x M3 is just vintage enough to catch the edge of it, but not to the degree that it's impacted others.

Look at E30 M3 and 993 pricing over the last 18 months, for example.
