Did you add the controller wiring when you did the retrofit? If so, make the can bus wiring shorter. There may be some can bus wiring running down the console. I had a similar issue when I ran a longer can bus wire to the back of the CIC.

If I remember correctly, I just unpin the old connector to the new one .. (a lot of cables remained unconnected) the old connector was quite large .. now I guess there's a 4 pin ..
