Not such about resale, you usually only get a premium of £500 for a SMG/DSG car over a manual which equates to a third of the outlay in the DSG and even less with the SMG. DCT will be miles better than SMG but the fact remains that in resale you will be throwing away a huge amount of your outlay.
Totally agree with the connection thing with the car by having a manual.
