that will help horizontally, but not really vertically.

My tips are single wall, but welded on, not riveted.

Sorry kitw, I have to disagree. Adding washers to the passenger side mount primarily assists with vertical adjustment. Along with a slight driver's side bracket adjustment, adding washers completely leveled out my exhaust.
