2013 Lotus Elan
This ought to stir the pot a bit. Is anyone considering the Elan over the next M3 (or Porsche, for that matter)?
It certainly piqued my interest. I read a little bit about it the other day: 4.0 L supercharged V6, 450 hp, <2900 lbs curb weight. It also looks incredible, and is rumored to be priced very competitively ($75k).
This is still quite far in the future, and we've yet to see what changes will be seen in comparatively priced cars (the 991 Carrera, F3X M3, next-gen Cayman S). However, my desire to own a true sports car before I'm an old fart, and the fact that I don't need a back seat, make this an attractive option.
