I run 265/40-18 and 285/40-18 as my daily/rain set up. Those are the exact same size up front and a shade larger in rear then a 265/35-19 and 285/35-19. So they fit just fine. I'm running stock ride height on stock suspension.
The 40 series rubber works for my aesthetics, and also makes the ride of the car much more pleasurable on a daily basis.
